The first T-20 match South Africa national cricket team faced off against the new era of rising stars in India national cricket team. The 1st T-20 match was held on 8th November. South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl first and invite team India for batting first. Team India Openers Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma open the game in bounce pitch. South Africa decided to ball in overcast conditions in Durban but this decision didn’t work in their favor. Samson will be the spotlight once again as he tries to make the opening slot his own which will give the team management a headache while choosing when Shubman Gill, and Yashasvi Jaiswal inevitably become available in the future. The pitch at st. George’s park is a balanced one, initially flavoring the batters but as the match wears on, spin bowlers begin to get purchased on the surface.
